Fire Chief™ is an astounding arborvitae with the most unusual coloring. It matures into a dwarf globe of chartreuse scaly foliage, with new growth emerging orange and then by autumn turning a fiery red. It can be tolerant of most soils, however it is at home in moist, well-draining soils and does not like being dry. Does best in a wind-protected site. Also does well in rock gardens where water can drain freely. Truly an evergreen shrub you should not live without.
