The compact Korean azalea variety that boasts purple/pink, star-shaped flowers that bloom in clusters against deep green foliage in early spring. Can be used as a hedge or in mass. Azaleas prefer acidic, moist, and humus-heavy soils where they thrive in part to full shade. They benefit from a layer of mulch since they do not like dry roots. Leaves are evergreen and provide winter interest. They do best in a wind-protected site. Rabbit resistant.
