Dappled willows make fantastic shrubs and talking points due in part to their extreme ornamental values. ‘Hakuro-nishiki’ is prized for its multicolored narrow foliage; in shades of pink, cream, white, and green that last all season long. Insignificant yellow flowers can be found in early spring. Stems will turn red as the growing season progresses and can be very ornamental in the winter once the leaves have dropped. Dappled willows do best in moist, fertile soils in full sun to part shade. Tree form.
