Brunnnera is characterized by wands of blue forget-me-not-like flowers in early spring and striking silvery-green variegated leaves that have an almost metallic-like shine. It does best in rich, consistently moist soils, but can tolerate average soils as well. Leaves can scorch in late afternoon sun and therefore does best in more shaded conditions. Plants prefer a nice layer of mulch and in optimal conditions, may form a slow-growing ground cover. No major insect/disease issues and is considered rabbit/deer resistant because of the rough texture of the leaves. 'Jack of Diamonds' has huge 9-10" leaves that overlap dramatically at the base and look circular from a distance. Heavy silver overlay and vivid, wide, dark green veining pattern.
