‘Violet Pinwheels’ is an early blooming perennial creeping phlox that is covered in vibrant, notched flowers for four to six weeks. It stays low to the ground and spreads steadily, making it ideal for edging, rock gardens, and slopes. ‘Violet Pinwheels’ is well adapted to challenging sites. It tolerates high pH levels and deicing salts, making it a great choice for borders near sidewalks or driveways. Once established, it handles drought well and resists common problems like powdery mildew. Resistant to deer and rabbits. May also produce a light rebloom later in the season.
